APARTMENT RENOVATION
This renovation has made it possible to clearly redefine the spaces of this apartment and to gain clarity. We wanted to return to the essence of space and design elements with pure lines. The architectural heritage visible through the preserved period elements such as the moldings and the fireplace, is thus combined with a new, more minimal visual sense.
The floors of the apartment have been unified by laying a light parquet. A contemporary aspect emerges while recalling the codes of the classic Versailles apartment thanks to the chevron parquet.

The entrance has been completely redesigned to be naturally lit in the second day thanks to the glass doors of the dressing room and the children's room. The generous heights present in these rooms have made it possible to integrate mezzanines. The made-to-measure furniture in the dressing room thus takes the form of a staircase to access a sleeping area in height. Similarly in the children's room, a double bed has been installed on the mezzanine to free up the floor space.
A large monolithic terracotta block (integrating a bathroom, a WC and a laundry room) visible from all sides, brings a touch of color to the apartment which has been deliberately left white.

The kitchen, minimalist and discreet, is housed against the monolith. We need to pass through it to access to the living space which by its unexpected volume does not leave indifferent. Suspensions and a mobile liven up this extraordinary ceiling.

On the mezzanine, perched above the kitchen, a master suite has been created. Accessible by a folded and insulated sheet metal staircase from a glass roof taking up the atypical shape of this upside-down boat hull ceiling, this suite enjoys an unobstructed view of the double height of the living room. A shower room, like a mineral cave, a mixture of zelliges and green marble, gives this suite its independence worthy of a hotel room in the heights of the apartment.
